Dean Engel was a member of the faculty of New York University for many years and is the author of Global Human Resource Development(Prentice Hall, 1993). In Japan, Dean taught English at Tokyo Kyoiku Daigaku (Tokyo Educa- tion University) and at Fukushima University. He was also a teacher trainer for the Toyama Prefectural Board of Edu- cation. Dean is the Managing Director of The East West Group, Inc., a consulting firm located in Mill Valley, Californ- ia, specializing in cross-cultural business and human resource development. Larry K. Peterson is a New York-based wordsmith who writes about art, history, the media, popular culture, sports and dogs. A former editor of Fodor’s Travel Guides, he has recently edited The Truckers’ Road Atlas, The USA Today Golf Atlas, and Fodor’s/USA Today Four Sports Stadium Guide.
